QUESTION:
Is volunteer work available on the weekends?
ANSWER:
Volunteer work is only available during regular working hours.
Monday thru Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm.
Exceptions are made for special events such as Black
Gay Pride, Christopher Street West, the Martin Luther King,
Jr. Day Parade, etc.

QUESTION:
Do volunteers work directly with clients?
ANSWER:
Due to strict adherence of confidential mandates, volunteers
do not work directly with clients.
This also includes the handling of files, medical
records and any other documents that refer to the clients of
Minority AIDS Project.
QUESTION:
What are the specific requirements needed to volunteer at
Minority AIDS Project?
ANSWER:
All Volunteers must have a current T.B. negative test result.
Volunteers must submit a completed Volunteer
Application along with a valid government-issued
identification.
QUESTION:
Can high school/college credits be given for volunteering at
Minority AIDS Project?
ANSWER:
Minority AIDS Project will verify volunteer hours worked for
educational institutions that require students to perform
community service. All
Minority AIDS Project rules (found in the Application and
Guideline Packet) along with the respective academic
institution's rules and regulations will be followed
explicitly.
